Who are members of the Women's Health DPG?
Members are dietitians, dietetic technicians, and students who are current members of The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, and who have an interest in the nutritional management of women during the reproductive years until the onset of menopause. Joining the Women's Health DPG enables members to keep abreast of the latest issues and developments in women's nutrition, share expertise, expand professional skills, and participate in committees and projects.

New April 2011! The Women's Health DPG is excited to announce new member award opportunites:
Outstanding Student in Women's Health Award
The purpose of the Women’s Health Outstanding Member of the Year Award is to recognize two student members of the Women’s Health DPG who have exhibited outstanding service, leadership and accomplishment.
Excellence in Practice in Women's Health Award
The purpose of the Excellence in Practice in Women’s Health Award is to recognize a member of the Women’s Health DPG who has exhibited outstanding service, dedication and/or innovation to the field of women’s health.
In addition, the Women's Health DPG submits nominations for prestigious awards on behalf of members including the Alice Higgins Award from the March of Dimes and the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Medallion Award.
Mentoring
Students and those who are new to the profession can pair with seasoned professionals to enhance skills and map out career pathways. Contact the Mentor Coordinator for more information.

Introduce other nutrition professionals to the Women's Health DPG (Number 28). Together we can make women's health in our profession an important consideration in practice and policy. Call the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (800/877-1600 ext 5000) to join today or join online. You will be asked to log in to the Business Center using your member number and password. Once in the Business Center you can look at your membership account information and add Women's Health as your DPG.
